What RvgeShot does

01

Print Screen, as you know it

Region capture across multiple monitors, with per-monitor DPI handled, started from the Print Screen key or the tray.

02

Editor built in

Crop, draw and annotate a capture before you save it. No upload step, no account.

03

Screen recording

Record MP4 or GIF with microphone and system audio, and draw or pixelate on screen while the recording runs.

04

A gallery that stays local

Every capture lands in a searchable, tagged gallery stored in SQLite on your PC, with a built-in image viewer and video player.

02 Good to know Plainly

Where your data goes, and what to expect.

There is no cloud sync and no share link. Captures and recordings stay on your PC.

The application has no network or telemetry code.

Free during the public beta. A paid licence is planned only after the company is registered, and its price is published with its anchor before then.

What is still missing.

This list is the work between today's build and a version anyone can rely on. It gets shorter, it is never hidden.

  • Capturing a single active window. The menu entry exists, the feature does not yet.
  • Code signing. Windows SmartScreen warns about an unknown publisher.
  • Delete all, and stripping metadata on save.
  • A macOS build. One is produced by CI but has not been tested.
04 Planned price With anchor price · NN 101/2026

Planned, not for sale.

These are planned launch prices, shown so you know what to expect. Nothing can be bought before the company is registered. Each price sits next to its anchor price, which is the first listed price and never moves. How pricing works.
